Infertility treatment Tunisia : Medically assisted reproduction

Medically assisted reproduction (MAP Tunisia) or assisted reproduction (AMP) refers to all techniques and medical practices to treat infertility. Medically assisted reproduction in Tunisia includes therapeutic, clinical and biological solutions for the treatment of infertility Tunisia, both female and male. It is offered to couples who are trying to have a child but cannot. We speak of medically assisted procreation when medicine intervenes in procreation and provides assistance and medical aid to any couple who wants to conceive a child.

ART is performed by manipulating either sperm in the man or eggs in the woman, and sometimes both at the same time, with the goal of achieving fertilization and helping the couple conceive a child. The types of infertility treatment that are usually requested are artificial insemination with the partner’s sperm, IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatment and testicular biopsy.

Types of PMA treatments in Tunisia

There are many types of infertility treatments Tunisia, ranging from simple interventions such as medications to help a woman ovulate to more complex procedures like IVF. Depending on the cause of the infertility, the following types of treatment can be offered.

Causes of infertility:

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive within 12 months of the first pregnancy attempt, while reduced fertility describes any form or degree of reduced fertility

Infertility and sub-fertility can be due to conditions in the male and/or female reproductive systems.

The main causes of infertility are due to:

Male infertility

Male infertility is associated with the number and quality of sperm in the semen. We can identify four main types of sperm abnormalities

*Azoospermia
*Oligospermia
*Asthenospermia.
*Teratospermia

Female infertility

With regard to female infertility, the main causes are ovulatory disorders, tubal disorders, and endometriosis. The main causes attributed to female infertility.

Ovulatory disorders: Infrequent or no ovulation leads to infertility because an egg is not available every month for fertilization.

Oocyte aging: Maternal aging is a known factor in female infertility. The decrease in fertility with aging could be due to a decrease in the quantity and quality of oocytes.

Fallopian Tubes: Tubal diseases and pelvic adhesions prevent the normal transport of oocyte and sperm through the fallopian tubes. The main cause of tubal factor infertility is pelvic inflammatory disease caused by pathogens.

Uterus: Conditions that deform the uterine cavity can result in implantation failure, which can lead to infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss.

Endometriosis: Adhesions in the uterus, fallopian tubes and/or pelvic floor caused by endometriosis can cause infertility. Infertility may be due to ovulatory dysfunction, defective implantation, alternations in the oocyte or impaired fertilization.

Obesity: Obese women have been shown to be at increased risk of subfertility and infertility.

Infertility treatments are procedures and/or interventions used to initiate pregnancy. Tunisia MAP procedures include assisted reproductive techniques as well as ovarian stimulants.

PMA Tunisia techniques are defined as procedures that include the manipulation of oocytes and/or sperm, or embryos to generate a pregnancy. PMA Tunisia methods can be classified as follows

Intrauterine insemination (IAC)

Intrauterine insemination is a procedure in which treated and concentrated sperm is placed directly into the uterine cavity, and will often be used when the cause of infertility is male related.

In vitro fertilization (IVF)

In vitro fertilization (IVF) with or without in vitro maturation is a cycle of procedures in which oocytes are retrieved from ovarian follicles, fertilized in vitro and then transferring the embryo into the uterus.

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)

This is an in vitro procedure in which a single sperm is injected into the cytoplasm of the oocyte.

Ovarian stimulation

Ovarian stimulation is used to promote the development and ovulation of more than one mature follicle in women suffering from infertility, primarily to increase the likelihood of conception. This treatment can be used alone or in combination with intrauterine insemination, which involves increasing the number of oocytes and sperm together.

Ovulation Induction

Infrequent or irregular ovulation not related to ovarian failure can usually be successfully treated with ovulation induction; women treated with ovulation induction agents achieve fertility nearly equivalent to that of couples without infertility. Ovulation induction agents tend to be used as first-line treatment to stimulate the development and ovulation of more than one mature oocyte in women with unexplained or age-related infertility.
